Wednesday, January 26th, 2005Sammy was in surgery from approximately 10 am to noon today. The surgeon removed a good-sized piece of the tumor in Sam’s abdomen, a piece of leg bone and bone marrow sample for analysis. Tuesday, January 25th, 2005Hi all.. We just returned from meeting Dr. Nick Saenz, our surgeon. Surgery (biopsy and hip aspiration) is scheduled for Wed at 10:10 am. Sam started his 1st round of chemo last night; he was sleeping when the team arrived dressed in spacesuits and full masked hoods with his treatment bags. 16 hours later Sam was…riding a bicycle!
