I consider myself the luckiest man in the world have 3 sons. I often think of having a daughter and if I were blessed with a daughter, I would want her to be beautiful, have a megawatt smile that lights up a room, a sense of humor than brings laughter to all around. In short, I would want a girl as wonderful as Christi Thomas.
Christi Thomas has been one of my heroes since we entered this fight on 1/19/2005. She’s a 9-year old 4th grader from Tiffin, OH. Her father Shayne is a banker who runs marathons, her mother is a teacher getting a PhD (imagine juggling work, the demands of a PhD program, and the medical care of your daughter), and her little sister is Shayla, a wonderful 6 year old who idolizes Christi. Christi has a cat, Buttercup, and loves to read (she’s in the gifted class you know!). She’s been treated for a few years to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and we’ve been captivated by her stories of visiting the wonderful museums, bookstores, and sights of Philadelphia.

My wife and I talk daily about the Thomas family and about how they have chosen to live and to honor life and they are our heroes. We hope that they become your heroes also.
