Thinking of Sam and of your family today.

What a terrific way to honor Sam’s memory, Marg. Your dad and I are going to “get in the game” today and be filled with good memories of Sam. His presence is with us always (per Paul’s offering of Carmelitic instructions), just as our thoughts are always with you, Neil, Andy & Charlie. We love and admire you more than you’ll ever know, and will cherish forever our too-brief time with Sam. He was, in so many ways, a young GIANT among boys – – brave, strong, stoic, indomitable spirit. He lives on, and we are all “better” people for having known him and witnessing his heroism and his joie de vivre.
We hope that this will be a day of celebration of Sam’s beautiful self, and not a day of mourning. Did I mention we love you? WE DO!!

LOVE that photo! Certainly captures Sam’s enthusiasm for all things fun and sporty. Mack and Grant are in the game all day today. They’re playing a playing a game that the Hutchison boys introduced them to – basketball. Thinking of you guys each moment. The boys put a note up at Kate Sessions for Sam today, noting some of the things they’ve missed most. Your family has absolutely stayed in the game, everyday – which I believe keeps Sam smiling that same fun-loving smile in the photo. Wishing you continued days of love, The Bonebrakes

Thinking of all of you.

I snowboarded with ashley yesterday. I am way to old to be repeatedly falling on my face in the snow or keeping up with a 15 year old. And paying for it today! I hope i did Sam proud by “getting in the game”. I had a nice thought of the Hutchinson’s from the top of the mountain. Think of you often.

Your beautiful Sam is always in my thoughts…I think he was helping out my Andrew again…his team won a high level tournament on Saturday…with Andrew guarding the goal the entire game and winning it in the shootout!
Andrew and Ian still talk about Sam and how much they enjoyed meeting him.
Love,
Meryl

Was thinking of you guys on the 17th as we all wore green. Saw Andy at recess and said a little prayer for you all! Angela (Madison’s Mom)

Kira and Aiden are taking swim lessons in PB. I had been driving down Cass for a few months but recently, all of the sudden, I felt like I know this place from a different time. I looked around and realized that Sam’s service was held at the church on that street! The realization and the ice plant blooms brought me back to that day. You don’t hear from me often but we think of your family of 5. May the wonderful memories you shared with Sam carry you through the difficult moments.
Love,
t
