Erin Buenger
By Margot | April 10, 2009
When we traveled to Houston almost 2 years ago for the Nestles Vaccine at Texas Childrens, we had a very memorable lunch with a beautiful little girl. Erin was a redhead, like Sam, and had the most infectious smile and sparkled. She was the kind of girl that causes a parent to make a mental note saying ‘yeah, it would be ok if my son married her’.
We got to know Erin through her mother’s wonderful blog. Erin was good friends with Congressman Chet Edwards and spoke of being President someday.
The world tonight is a little sadder and a bit less hopeful now that she is gone.
Please visit her website, leave a comment, and say a prayer. And hug your kids while you’re at it.

So sorry to hear about Erin.
I met her that day with you and the boys in Houston. She was such a sweet girl. Arrghgh!! So unfair.
Thinking of you guys all the time.

So very sad. I know it makes it harder to keep your chin up the way you do so well. She was a blessing to everyone who knew her, even those of us who just knew her from her mother’s blog.
Crap!

Thank you so much for the tribute. We’re hanging in there (though we have a television interview tomorrow afternoon, so I hope I can keep the blubbering to a minimum).
Sending love and blessing to the entire Hurricane Hutchison clan and also to your dear mother Margot (who has been incredibly generous in supporting Erin lately).

I’ve followed Erin’s journey for quite some time and was heartbroken like so many others to hear of her passing. I will continue to pray for Sam and the amazing work of Magic Water.
