Happy Halloween!
Well Team, the counts are still ugly. Yesterday ANC was 154 today it is 160 -still nowhere near 500. We are going to try and get him out anyway. Dr. Willert seemed inclined to let us go yesterday but Neil just called and the verdict this morning from Dr. Madigan was “No.” Neil is having her call Dr. Willert. If anyone can finagle it, Neil can. I asked Dr. Willert yesterday why it’s going so slowly this time and she answered simply, “it’s the second round.” Lord knows how long we’ll be waiting on the third round. We are going to give him a break before the third round so he has a week off. If we went on the three week schedule he would have to start again next week. Ugh. So we’ll have an extra week in between (at least).
I went home and picked up Andy and Charlie and brought them to the hospital yesterday afternoon and last night. Sam and Andrew played lightsabers, played in the playroom and ran around the hospital halls. Charlie happily rode around in the Baby Bjorn chasing his brothers around and spitting up every now and then.
Sam is very excited for Halloween. If he doesn’t officially get out, I’m going to see about a hall pass for trick or treating with Joe and Jakey for a few hours.
Will post more tomorrow to let everyone know how it goes today.
Hurray for our friend Riley who I just read got the nasty BK virus out of his system.
