Happy Labor Day! We had a very nice weekend. The boys got in a lot of swimming, a Happy 1st grade barbecue at Colleen and Joe’s complete with a jumpy, and a trip to the nighttime zoo with Maureen and Mommy last night. Tomorrow is the big first day of school and Sammy is very excited. We got his school
supplies today and stuff for his lunch tomorrow. Both he and Andy are beat from swimming this afternoon so it may not be too tough to get him in bed
earlier. Sam’s taking the Fenretinide every morning and night and hates it, it takes all sorts of bribes and threats to get him to do it but we’re getting it in him.
Charlie is content to be plopped in an out of his car sear for all our outings. He’s waking up a bit more these days but is such a good baby, he hardly ever cries.
Sammy laughs at his little floppy body and his little grunts and his startle reflex. We make up things we think Charlie is saying to us and Sammy can’t stop laughing. God, I love the sound of that little boy’s laugh. He and Andy helped me put together a little portable swing for him yesterday. The both used the screwdriver all by themselves and were so proud. Andy is so funny I have to keep him from swinging Charlie to the ceiling as he asks me, “Is this gentle, Mommy?”
I’ll post tomorrow on how his first day goes.
