It’s been great to be out of the hospital. It’s hot in San Diego (75 at the beaches, 90’s inland) and we’re making the most of it. We have been having water fights and playing videogames with Sam being the reigning champ at Super Mario GoKart.
Our scans were moved to Friday 5/27 which is great. We definitely want the information sooner than later. Surgery schedule will be planned following the scans and we’re hoping for sometime the week of 6/3.
Anne/Don took Margot & I to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in downtown. We’ve never been there before and it was awesome. Great atmosphere and super conversation. It was just fun to get dressed up and get a night out.
I took Sam to the outpatient clinic on Friday. This is a standard 2x/week occurrence when we’re not in the hospital and it was a neuroblastoma reunion. The 2 boys next to us were Isaac who is farthest along in therapy having completed the transplant and radiation, and Max, who just completed the transplant and is about due for radiation. Please pray for all 3 of these boys – all equally adorable, active, and smiling.
