Sam is doing great today. He’s finally over the post-op nausea (from the biopsy surgery on Wednesday) and is able to keep food down including the chocolate cake for brother Andrew’s birthday. He even had lunch with Don Sonck in the cafeteria today. He was very brave for his EKG and cardiogram – both were required before he could begin his treatment. They were fine so he started his first cycle of chemo treatment at 8 PM tonight. Sam will stay in the hospital through the week long treatment and possibly much of the next week for observation. He’s going to be a pool shark before he leave the hospital! He finally felt well enough to play in the activity room, played frog tennis and Battleship with Dad and was able to visit with Deb.
